Telecoms

The air around us contains many telecommunication links, and wind turbines may interfere with them if they are placed directly in their path, between telecoms masts.

To ensure that the wind farm will not be a cause of Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), a wide range of communication system, microwave and telecommunication operators have been contacted to identify any possible areas of interference. The layout of the wind farm has been designed to ensure that the turbines do not interfere with any microwave communication links.

Wind farms do have the potential to affect TV reception at nearby properties. We are committed to ensuring that any problems that occur to television reception of residents will be rectified swiftly and at our cost.
